Sierra and Brennan

Sierra and Brennan were an adorable couple from Oklahoma who wanted some photos of their time in Boston. We met at the Boston Common by the “Make way for ducklings” statue. We had talked previously about shooting on acorn street as well as recreating a few poses. We started off by the water. It was a little overcast but that is the perfect weather for photos.

A little coaching from me on how to properly do a dip allowed for a great spontaneous moment where Sierra’s hat fell off and onto the ground. They both burst out laughing. These unplanned moments lead to natural reactions and create lasting memories!

After we took some photos at the common we headed over to acorn street. On the way to acorn street, I noticed that the merry-go-round was spinning and immediately wanted to grab a few next to it. Something with a long shutter speed in order to captivate the spin of the ride. Sierra and Brennan had to stand perfectly still for this but Brennan nailed it! It took a few shots in order to get everything just right but the end result was one of my favorite from the day.

Acorn Street is always busy with photographers, travelers, and people looking for the perfect Instagram photo. Today thankfully it was tame to other days that I have been there, and we were able to get some great stuff with minimal people in the background.

As we walked back to the common the sun broke through the clouds and gave us a beautiful sunset for some great final photos to end the day.

What a great time this photoset was. I know that both Sierra and Brennan were very happy with the results and that is the best part of my job. I hope they have a great wedding next year in Oklahoma and wish them the very best for the future!
